Yesenia Fitzhugh is the Operations Manager of Soaring Education Services with years of leadership experience in education.
Served as Regional Director of Operations for EAGLE College Prep Schools in Arizona; charged with building and implementing high-quality, sustainable systems across the region including enrollment policies and practices, annual audit assurances, breakfast and lunch programming, and student information systems implementation and maintenance.
Founding Principal of EAGLE Maryvale which opened its doors in 2014; EAGLE Maryvale became a highly recognized school in west Phoenix serving over 400 students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Was responsible for driving the direction of the school, developing and overseeing all school operations, team building, and leading student achievement and teacher development. 2014, Arizona Charter Schools Program Co-recipient, awarded $750,000
2014, Walton Family Foundation Co-recipient, awarded $250,000 (all start up funds for the school). In 2016, EAGLE Maryvale was recognized by A for Arizona for schools on the way to an 'A' and a gold medalist.
Holds a B.S. degree from Northern Arizona University in criminal justice, a certificate from California State University, Sacramento in elementary education, and an M.Ed. degree from Northern Arizona University in educational leadership. 2012, Aspiring Leaders Fellow through the Arizona Charter Schools Association
Married to Anthony for over 15 years, has two boys, Jimmy and Jacob. Loves to spend time with family and friends, reading, biking, and home decorating. A favorite is going camping and taking the Jeep off roading with the family. Continues to grow in her Christian faith every day along side her family.
