Kristie Flohra

Kristie Flohra has a love of education and a desire to see all children succeed and realize their full potential.  She has over 20 years of experience in education and has taught grade levels ranging from preschool through middle school.  She also served for many years as a school administrator, both in early childhood and elementary education. She has a passion for curriculum and a strong desire to equip students and teachers with the necessary skills to succeed! Kristie served for several years as a Master Teacher, working directly with the Orange County Department of Education as a Mentor Teacher for the BTSA Induction Program, a program that helps beginning teachers clear their credentials.  Kristie helped to create and implement a departmentalized middle school program at a small Christian school, bringing a revitalization to the program. Kristie was also instrumental in developing a program for special needs students, allowing students with differing needs to attend the local Christian school. Additionally, Kristie has built and revitalized an early childhood program, taking it from 20 students to over 150! Kristie also loves the accreditation process, and believes that it is an important and integral step in shaping the direction of a school.

Kristie's undergraduate degree is from Cal State University, Fullerton, and she earned her Professional Clear Credential and Masters in Education with emphasis in Curriculum from Concordia University, Irvine. Additionally, Kristie serves as a WASC Accreditation Commissioner, representing Lutheran schools nationally, and as a District Accreditation Commissioner for LCMS Lutheran Schools. 

In addition to her work as a school practitioner, Kristie also works to support schools that desire to begin or grow. She believes that offering an affordable,  national network of Christian microschools will make quality education accessible for all. Kristie has been married to her husband, Ryan, for 22 years, and has four children, Megan, Madeline, James and Eloise. Her children have inspired her desire to create diverse educational models that will meet the needs of many types of learners.
